You can distinguish the neutral wire and the ground wire from the brightness. The bright one is the neutral wire. The dark one is the ground wire.

  3. Use a multimeter. Put the multimeter in the AC range of 500v, pinch one test lead, and touch the other test lead to the power line respectively. The one with high voltage is the live wire, the one with low voltage is the neutral wire, and the one with 0 voltage is the ground wire. The zero line-to-ground resistance is less than 4 ohms for reliable grounding. Use a multimeter to measure the voltage difference between the live wire and the neutral wire, and the live wire and the ground wire at 250v on the AC ground. If the difference between the two values is less than 5v, it is a reliable ground.
